Spider Monkeys

This term we will be learning all about Fairy Tale stories!

We will be reading lots of different stories; Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, and lots more!

We will be creating, writing, reading, acting, dancing and doing many more activities.

We are really looking forward to learning this term!

Happy Easter on PhotoPeach

The children have been working very hard over the last few weeks! We have done lots of reading and writing.

We have been reading the story ‘The Runaway Tractor’.  The children have designed and made a story box creating their own tractor adventure.  We have made short films of the children telling their story (these will be uploaded soon!) and have then written their own story book.  I’m sure you can’t wait to read them!

Miss Bradbury, Miss Whittaker and myself are all very proud of the children’s progress!

Keep up the hard work Reception.

After Half Term we our new topic will be Transport.  Our Big Question will be  ’How do you get there?’

We will be learning about lots of different ways to travel and talking about our own experiences.

Please can we ask you to collect any boxes, yoghurt pots, plastic bottles etc. For us to use after half term to make models of transport.

I hope you are all rested after the Christmas break.

This half term we will be investigating light and dark.  We will also be enjoying some very exciting books, we will be starting with ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ this is definatley a favourite!

The children in Nursery and Reception have been working hard to learn lots of songs and words for this years Nativity.  I am sure it’s going to be a great success.  Remember to get your tickets for the show!! Please speak to any of the adults in class to get them!
